Junior Rangers is designed to get kids outdoors, having fun, and learning about Victoria’s wonderful parks, wildlife, and amazing natural and cultural heritage.
Parks Victoria’s Junior Ranger program provides fun, park ranger-led activities for children aged six to twelve and their families during school holidays and on some weekends. Parks Victoria also understands that not all children are able to travel to parks to participate in ranger guided activities but are still keen to learn more about Victoria’s natural environment. For that reason, we offer a number of Junior Ranger activities that kids can complete with their families in their own time, in a local park or reserve.
Parks Victoria won the National Disability Award in 2011 under the Health and Wellbeing category and is implementing more access strategies for people with disabilities across the state. For more information about how Parks Victoria is promoting accesiblity and inclusion click here for updates.
