There is nothing better than stories and damper around a campfire down by the river! Come along and meet a Traditional Owner, listen to their stories and learn about local Aboriginal Culture.
We will then mix and cook damper while learning about campfire safety. Please note, this activity uses cooking ingredients such as flour, butter, milk and honey.
This activity is suitable for children aged 6–12, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over.
Please bring drinking water, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and wear enclosed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
Directions: meet at the Karadoc sandbar. Access via Kulkyne Way and Edey Road (unsealed but suitable for 2WD vehicles). Follow the Junior Ranger signs. Car parking and toilet facilities are available.
