Australia has some amazing native plants which provide important habitat for our wildlife. Learn how to identify common native plants and discover some of the hundreds of species found in the Yarra Ranges National Park.

 

This activity is suitable for children aged 6-12, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The terrain is relatively flat and the activity is suitable for all abilities.

Please bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent, and wear enclosed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.

 

Activities may be rescheduled, changed or cancelled due to adverse weather or for emergency response.

Please meet the ranger 5 minutes before scheduled at the Lyrebird Picnic Shelter, Badger Weir Picnic Ground in Badger Creek.


Please note that we are running all of our Junior Ranger activities in strict accordance with DHHS guidelines to minimise the risk of Covid transmission. This includes restrictions on group sizes, as well as adherence to social distancing and hygiene related guidelines.  While these measures are aimed at minimising the risk of Covid transmission, you acknowledge that you are participating in these activities at your own risk.
