To celebrate the Victoria Nature Festival 2021, Parks Victoria is hosting a Very Big Bushwalk – a range of short bushwalks held simultaneously at numerous locations around Victoria!
Learn all about bushwalking, the Australian environment and maybe check out some of the local wildlife along the way. Join a Parks Victoria Ranger for Junior Ranger bushwalk and get ready to enjoy the outdoors, enjoyable for the whole family!
This activity is suitable for children aged 6-12, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over. The bushwalk is no more than 3km.
Please bring water, sunscreen, hat, insect repellent, camera and wear enclosed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
Directions: Please meet the Parks Victoria Ranger at the Mt Terrick Terrick Picnic Area. Arrive five minutes before scheduled time. Activities may be rescheduled, changed or cancelled due to adverse weather or for emergency response.
All Junior Ranger activities are managed in alignment with the Victorian government guidelines for coronavirus (COVID-19). Due to current outdoor group restrictions, it is essential that a maximum of one accompanying adult per child is permitted during each Junior Ranger activity. The Victorian government have mandated masks to be worn by adults whilst outdoors and indoors in public areas. It is recommended primary aged children wear a mask whilst outdoors and indoors in public areas.
