Finding Mini Beasts

Come and join the local Rangers on a quest to discover the beasts lurking in the murky depths of Little River. Let’s learn how to identify the common species found in the river and enjoy catching and observing our wonderful submerged creek-bound compadres.

Please meet at Cooks Mill Day Visitor Area, Little River Rd, Cathedral Range State Park.

Please bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent, and wear sturdy enclosed shoes, a hat, and clothing appropriate for the weather. Please bring your own hand sanitiser and pen/pencil.

Activities will be cancelled in extreme weather e.g. if it is declared a day of Total Fire Ban.

All Junior Ranger activities are free, and are suitable for children aged 6-12 years. All Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bookings are essential. Rangers will be in the campground in the days preceding with a sign-up sheet. There is currently a limit of 15 participants including adults.

Please note that for participant safety we are running all of our Junior Ranger activities in strict accordance with Department of Health guidelines.
