Shark and Ray Awareness

Get up close and personal with some of Port Phillip Bays’ amazing Sharks and Rays! Join a Marine Ranger for a wade through Point Cooke Marine Sanctuary to discover friendly Banjo Rays, sleepy Port Jackson Sharks or magnificent Eagle Rays.

Please wear a hat and sunscreen. Closed toe water shoes that cover the ankle are essential- no thongs or bare feet. For example – wet suit boots or hi-top sneakers. (THIS INCLUDES PARENTS/ GUARDIANS). This is an in-water activity. Be prepared to get wet up to your waist. Parents/guardian are required to accompany their children into the water and will also get wet. Bring a towel and change of clothes.

Activities are suitable for children aged 7 and up. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is not a suitable activity for small children under the age of 7.

Meet at the end of Homestead entrance road. Note: Homestead Entrance road is a gravel road and is NOT the main Point Cook Coastal Park entrance.
