Become a Wildlife Detective by learning the secrets of the forest on a gentle walk along the Stuart Judd Track in Jehosophat Gully. Tune your senses to discover who is hiding out of sight, and find out who was in the park while no one was looking. Learn to read the signs made by animals, birds and other creatures, and discover some cool things about plants.
This activity is suitable for children aged 6-12, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over.
Please bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent, and wear enclosed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. Please also bring a pen or pencil with you for completing an activity sheet.
Be prepared for a short walk of about 1km along a forest track with some ups and downs. Prams are not recommended.
Directions: please meet in the grassy picnic area beyond the car park. Look for the Junior Ranger signs.
There are toilets, free gas BBQs, and picnic tables available and other walking tracks to explore at Jehosaphat Gully if you want to extend your visit.
